Ajim village — Mos Eisley (Episode IV) • The stormtrooper checkpoint • Chalmun's Cantina exterior
Your Star Wars journey begins on the island of Djerba, which doubled on screen as the desert spaceport of Mos Eisley. In the whitewashed fishing village of Ajim, walk the very streets where stormtroopers stopped Luke and Obi-Wan with the immortal line, “These aren't the droids you're looking for,” and stand before the modest old bakery that became Chalmun's Cantina. Between locations, soak up the gentle rhythm of island life, its palm groves and warm hospitality.
Restored 18th-century rural lodge
Ksar Hadada — Mos Espa slave quarters (Episode I) • Berber village of Chenini • Guided walk • Traditional lunch
A short drive brings you to Tataouine, the town whose name George Lucas borrowed for the planet Tatooine — even though no scenes were filmed here. Explore the honeycombed Ksar Hadada, the fortified granary that became the slave quarters of Mos Espa in The Phantom Menace. Continue to the cliffside village of Chenini, where Berber families still live among centuries-old vaulted dwellings, for a guided walk and a relaxed traditional lunch. In the late afternoon, head to Matmata to check in to the extraordinary troglodyte Hôtel Sidi Driss — itself a genuine Star Wars film set.
Hotel Sidi Driss, Matmata
Hôtel Sidi Driss (Lars homestead interior) • Sidi Bouhlel “Star Wars Canyon” • Chott El Djerid • Tozeur
You wake inside a piece of cinema history: the troglodyte Hôtel Sidi Driss served as the interior of Luke Skywalker's boyhood home. Over breakfast, explore its sunken courtyards and the famous “Star Wars courtyard,” still dressed from the films. Venture into the Sidi Bouhlel gorge, nicknamed the “Star Wars Canyon,” where Luke was ambushed by Tusken Raiders — a setting so cinematic it also features in Raiders of the Lost Ark. In the afternoon, cross the vast salt lake of Chott El Djerid on the way to the oasis of Tozeur.
4-star Hotel in Tozeur
Lars Farm dome (Chott el Gharsa) • Mos Espa village set (Ong Jemel) • Sahara dunes
The last day among the filming locations is the most spectacular of all. Out on the Chott el Gharsa stands the iconic white dome of the Lars Farm — the entrance to Luke's underground home and one of the great symbols of Tatooine, first built in 1976 and faithfully rebuilt on the very same spot. Nearby, the full Mos Espa village set still rises from the sand near Ong Jemel: a maze of domed houses where young Anakin once raced his podracer. The golden dunes make a perfect finale.

Scenic transfer across southern Tunisia • End of services
After breakfast, enjoy one last sweep of southern Tunisia's ever-changing scenery as you transfer back to Djerba, where your Star Wars adventure comes to a close — with memories of the galaxy's most famous desert and a real taste of the Tunisia behind the legend.
