Chahbania salt lake • Tataouine market • Berber village of Chenini • Ksar Ghilane
Depart for Tataouine along the old Roman road, pausing at the Chahbania salt lake before exploring the city's colourful market. Continue to Chenini, the Berber village perched high on the mountain, for a guided walk that reveals it through local eyes. After a traditional lunch, journey on to Ksar Ghilane, the oasis where green palms meet ochre dunes, for your first night under canvas.

Douz market • Chott El Djerid crossing • Old medina of Tozeur
After a gentle wake-up, head for Tozeur via Douz, with free time in its colourful market. Cross the Chott El Djerid, the great salt lake of legend, where mirages have inspired countless tales. On arrival, settle into your hotel and explore the old medina of Tozeur, with the option of a horse-drawn carriage ride through the palm grove or a visit to the Dar Chéraït museum of traditional art.

Drive to Matmata, the troglodyte village, beginning with a coffee break and photos at the Berber village of Tamazret. Visit the famous Hôtel Sidi Driss, a Star Wars filming location, then the village of Toujane, renowned for its handwoven margoum carpets, before your transfer back to Djerba and the end of our services.

We are not in a position to guarantee safe and comfortable conditions for guests with reduced mobility. A deposit of 30% of the total price is required to confirm your booking, this can be paid securely online via our payment link. The remaining balance is paid in cash (euros or Tunisian dinars, both accepted) directly to your guide at the start of the tour. No bank transfer or card payment is required for the balance.
