Depart Tunis in the morning for Kairouan, the fourth holiest city of Islam. Visit the Great Mosque, a masterpiece of early Islamic architecture, and the 9th-century Aghlabid Basins, then wander a medina famous for handwoven carpets and makroud date pastries. Continue south to Tozeur and discover its distinctive brick medina and lush palm grove on a gentle afternoon stroll.

Chebika & Tamerza mountain oases • Ong Jmal & Mos Espa (Star Wars) • Chott El Jerid • Douz
Begin among the mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza, with their waterfalls and dramatic canyons, then venture to Ong Jmal and the Mos Espa film set for a taste of Star Wars' otherworldly desert. Cross the vast, shimmering salt lake of Chott El Jerid, famed for its mirages, on the way to Douz — the “Gateway to the Sahara” — where towering dunes and a Bedouin camp await for the night.

Continue to the magnificent El Jem Amphitheatre, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the best-preserved Roman arenas in the world, before returning to Tunis and the end of our services.

We are not in a position to guarantee safe and comfortable conditions for guests with reduced mobility. A deposit of 30% of the total price is required to confirm your booking, this can be paid securely online via our payment link. The remaining balance is paid in cash (euros or Tunisian dinars, both accepted) directly to your guide at the start of the tour. No bank transfer or card payment is required for the balance.
