Mahboubine Village

Mahboubine village lies on the island of Djerba, Tunisia. Traditional Berber architecture characterizes this village. The village attracts tourists interested in local culture and history. This style characterizes Djerbian menzels, representing a unique island identity with intimate and discreet interiors. The architectural style reveals that founder Ali el Kateb drew influence from Byzantine art during his travels. Orchards, olive groves, and vineyards surround the village.
