Then, journey to the historic Ksar Jouamaa, a 17th-century fortress nestled amidst breathtaking mountain vistas, where the beauty of sunset paints the landscape in hues of gold and amber.
Conclude your expedition with a visit to the legendary town of Tataouine, immortalized in the Star Wars universe, and experience the vibrant culture of its bustling markets and charming streets.

• Our team will pick you up from your hotel to take you on an adventure.
• Departure to the troglodyte village of Matmata.
• Photo stop at the Berber village of Toujane: Enjoy the panoramic view overlooking the village and capture the moment in photos/videos.
• Arrival in Matmata: Visit Sidi Driss, the filming location of the famous Star Wars saga.
• Visit a Berber family in their underground dwelling. They will likely express their hospitality by offering you a refreshing tea with rosemary or mint and possibly a traditional dish.
• Take the time to visit the house, admire its unique architecture, simplicity, and the modesty of its inhabitants. (Don't forget to leave a little something for the family before leaving.)
• Lunch break.
• Continue to the sandy village of Sabria where you will spend the night in a Bedouin tent.
• Settle into your tent and wait to admire the magnificent sunset over this sea of sand. (You will also have the option to take a camel ride at sunset: (this is extra, payable on-site!)
• Then, witness a demonstration of the famous sand bread preparation (bread prepared under the sand and embers) followed by a delicious Tunisian meal!
• Enjoy your evening around the campfire and admire the clear, starry sky where the Milky Way seems within reach!
• Spend a captivating and peaceful night in the serenity of the desert silence.
Accommodation: Dunes Insolites Campsite
• The next morning, wake up gently and enjoy a good breakfast with a view of the dunes (or wake up earlier to witness the stunning sunrise.)
• Head to Douz, the gateway to the desert, with its fine white sand dunes.
• Stop and enjoy some free time to visit the local market.
• Then, head to the oasis of Ksar Ghilane.
• Don't miss the opportunity for a swim in the hot spring (known for its therapeutic properties) and enjoy a moment of relaxation in an exceptional setting.
• Take a walk in the fine sand dunes, which have changed color compared to the desert of Sabria and Douz and now lean towards ochre.
• You still have the option to ride a camel or a quad bike (again, extra, payable on-site)
• After lunch, head to the magnificent 17th-century fortress nestled among the stone meshes and sunbeams: Ksar Jouamaa.
• Admire the panoramic view, take the time to visit, admire the unique architecture, authenticity, and originality of the Ghorfas (rooms).
• Enjoy a unique sunset over the mountain.
• Enjoy a delicious dinner and spend a pleasant night in the arms of Morpheus.
Accommodation: Ksar Jouamaa
• Wake up gently and enjoy a good breakfast with a view of the mountain and the village below.
• Then head to Ksar Hadada, where some scenes from the film "Star Wars, Episode I: The Phantom Menace" were shot.
• Continue your journey to the Berber village of Chenini, which offers a view of the mountain, and spend about 1 hour there with your local guide. This guide will be happy to introduce you to the different buildings that make up the village, such as the oil mill, the mosque, the houses carved into the mountains, and much more.
• Then head to Tataouine, the city that gave its name to the planet Tatooine in the Star Wars saga.
• Take the time to visit the local market and taste the excellent gazelle horns (local pastry).
• Enjoy a delicious local meal on the way back to Djerba.
• On the way back to Djerba, stop at the salt lake of Chahbania for a photo break.
• Return to Djerba with a light heart and a head full of unforgettable memories.
