Národní park Jebel Serdj, vzácné stromy, divoká zvěř a gazely
Jebel Serj hostí asi sto javorů montpellierských, velmi vzácného druhu v Tunisku. Park také nabízí borovice halepské, duby kermesové, divoké olivy, svatojánské chleby a stále více atlasových cedrů. Žije zde několik savců, včetně servala, divokého prasete, šakala, lišky, mangusty, zajíce, ježka a hyeny pruhované. Mezi ptáky mohou návštěvníci spatřit orla skalního, káně lesní, sokola stěhovavého, poštolku, orla krátkoprstého, koroptvičku gambra, hrdličku a orla skalního.
Dne 20.

Jebel Serdj National Park was established in 2010 in the Tell Atlas between Siliana and Kairouan. Covering 1,720 hectares, it was created primarily to protect a reintroduced population of Cuvier's gazelle, which grew from 21 individuals at reintroduction to approximately 80 by 2019.
Jebel Serdj is known for its breeding pairs of golden eagles and peregrine falcons, both using the rocky cliffs and forested slopes of the jebel (mountain) as nesting sites. The park is a priority area for raptor conservation in Tunisia.
The park protects approximately 100 Montpellier maple trees (Acer monspessulanum), a Mediterranean tree species at the southern limit of its range in central Tunisia. These trees are considered a significant botanical conservation target.
The park is in north-central Tunisia, in the Tell Atlas range between the governorates of Siliana and Kairouan, about 150 km southwest of Tunis. A hire car is necessary; the nearest towns are Le Krib and Siliana.
Jebel Serdj is a relatively new park with developing visitor infrastructure. Birdwatching and wildlife observation excursions can be arranged through local contacts or national park authorities. The landscape is dramatic and the raptors are a significant draw for wildlife enthusiasts.
The gazelles in the park are semi-wild within a large protected area. Patient early-morning observation from appropriate vantage points, ideally with a ranger guide, offers the best chance of sighting them in their natural habitat.
